Birthday Celebration

Sophia had a great birthday!  We had her preschool buddy, Greg, over for a playdate this morning.  After lunch and naptime, we made a cake.  Then she rode the trolley for the first time with dad. (Because of our huge winter storm -we're talking 1 inch of rain - I thought they might actually beat Ben and I.  We had to drive in the rain during Friday rush hour of a holiday weekend.  It was slow going, but we still beat the trolley.  This is why public transportation in San Diego doesn't really work).

Sophia had fun on the trolley and loved eating at The Cheesecake Factory.  She mostly ate bread and fries and the special sundae she got because today was her birthday!  We drove home, skyped with Papa John and Grandma Kay, and opened more presents!

  1. Sounds like such a fun day. I love seeing Sophia in her tutus. My mom always told me that when I was a kid, my teachers asked if I needed donated clothing because I never wore anything but leotards and tights to school. Of course, out of choice. :)
