I got to spend this morning with Sophia at preschool. We had a field trip to the San Diego State Bakery. The school is right next to SDSU, so we walked. Sophia was very excited to go across the big pedestrian bridge that crosses College Ave. and to see the turtle pond.
We saw the storage areas full of 50 lb bags of flour, the giant freezers, and the huge mixers and ovens. The kids liked sampling cookies best!
We got back a little early because of the rainy weather. I got to spend time with Sophia in the outdoor art studio. I love, love, love the amazing art program at the school and this shared studio is so cool! Sophia painted and worked on tessellations. We also had some play time in the classroom, which Sophia spent mostly playing dress up.

It makes me sad that I'd be too nervous to let Clark or Iris go anywhere near a big bakery. =( Poor kids. I hope they outgrow their gluten problems.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! Sophia's school is actually really good with food allergies. They are nut free and would not do this trip if anyone in the class had food issues.
