After a yummy breakfast at our favorite neighborhood restaurant, The Trails, we drove to La Jolla Shores for some beach time. It's "May Gray" right now in San Diego, so the sun doesn't really come out until about noon. I wore jeans and a fleece, but Sophia insisted upon and was perfectly happy to run around in her swimsuit. We had a period of about 20 minutes where both kids just played in the sand and Jake and I sat in our chairs and talked. Wonderful! I'm looking forward to more of this in the future!
