The other day I cleaned the kids rooms. Since they looked so good, I decided to take some pictures for posterity (well, at least this blog). Ben's room is baseball themed. Jake's cousin who's in 6th grade decided to redecorate his room and passed on all his baseball stuff. The kids love the baseball glove chair and pillow ball. Though they mostly love jumping off the chair onto the rug. Many of the baseball themed items (lamps, bookends, trashcan, etc) are in storage until Ben is a little older. We joke that his room is a "padded room" because we have basically taken most things out. He has a few books and puzzles, the chair, and a changing pad. Most other things we have temporarily taken out. The clock and picture of Wrigley Field are hung up high, where little hands cannot reach. And don't worry, we have a window lock on in case Ben gets adventurous! We also have an amazing door lock to keep him from wandering.

Sophia's room has many more toys. We put a baby gate up so she can get in but Ben stays out. I just let her keep an art kit in her room, so hopefully she handles that well. (I have fears of crayon all over!) I decorated her room when I was pregnant, and I tried to make it gender neutral in case we ever wanted the kids to share a room. It's a bit bigger than Ben's room. Once Ben is a little older, we'll probably try that out. This room is more nature/bird themed.
