After Cape, we headed north to Washington. IL, a small town near Peoria where Jake's parents live. We had so much fun with Grandma, Papa John, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Sarah (who drove from Texas with her three kiddos to see us!), and the cousins! My brother drove down from Chicago for a day and we were able to see some friends and family in town too. Highlights included catching fireflies, playing in the kiddie pool, seeing Aunt Mison and Uncle Dan at the farmer's market, and playing euchre. We also did a one-night trip to Davenport Iowa and tiny Grand Mound Iowa for a McNugent family reunion (Jake's moms's side of the family).
